For me, music has always been so multifaceted. Like every other 90’s kid on the Indian subcontinent, I grew up with hindustani classical music, modernisation of those classics, western influences and of course Bollywood hits. Now I’m excited to share what compels me about these sounds on the airwaves.
I’ll be showcasing some of my favorite house tracks that are sure to get you moving and grooving, while also creating space for introspective and contemplative moments. You can also expect some experiments with funky and disco vibes infused with some Balkan folk tunes or Yugo-era synths. I am also especially thrilled to have the space to curate a selection of ambient tracks, creating a serene and dreamy sonic journey.
For me, Sunday Love Affair means music that sparks something in you. The beauty and perhaps also the melancholy of ambient, the clear and the twisted in electro. Of course, you can hear my passion for house music in the show, because house it is! In all its facets. All with the ambition to highlight FLINTA* and Southeast Asian artists.
But quite often my selection is very personal and emotional, songs that have a story, echo experiences or show desires.
