In March, our project “Resonance Space – Creating Continuities” started, which resulted from a follow-up funding of the Claim The Waves festival. This year, we would like to create an error-friendly and uplifting learning space for FLINTA (women, lesbians, trans, inter, non-binary and agender people) in radio again – but not in the form of a festival, but through regular dates, events and workshops. You can find them now here.

Action concept for awareness in associations

Those who want to work in an open, diverse and discrimination-sensitive context are often faced with challenges. How can we act when discrimination, i.e. disadvantages, unequal treatment or harassment occurs in the association? What is discrimination and how can we create a better understanding of it in the association? How can we deal with boundary-crossing behaviour and conflicts on this issue? In the context of events, there are now often awareness teams that are supposed to ensure that there are no assaults on site. The Radio-Verein Leipzig has been trying to bring this idea into the context of a voluteer association. At the end of 2022, our awareness team drew up an initial action plan that other associations that want to take up the topic of awareness can use for themselves. The action plan can be found here in German and here in English. It can be used for non-commercial purposes and quoted with reference to the authors and the Radio-Verein Leipzig e.V.

Free Workshop

In this workshop you can learn how to make your own radio programme or podcast: from planning it to using the technical equipment to presenting and how to include music. At the same time, you can talk in the show about racism in everyday life in Leipzig. What is racism? Where does it appear? And how do we confront it? Your experiences should be heard! The workshop can be conducted in up to three languages: German, English and Español. Please sign up for the workshop with: anja@radioblau.de. Date: 31.03.2023, time: 3pm – 8pm. Place: Radio-Verein Leipzig e. V., Erdgeschoss, Paul-Gruner-Straße 62 (Hinterhaus der Nr. 64), 04107 Leipzig.
