Continental Subway *

Berlin-based Daniel Kahn and the Painted Bird will be bringing their radical mix of “alienation klezmer” and “Yiddish punk cabaret” to Leipzig and Continental Subway. Originally from Detroit, Kahn has been a part of the Berlin and international klezmer scene as a songwriter, translator, and performer for over a decade, combining his own politically charged compositions with re-imaginings and transformations of well-known pieces in Yiddish, English, German, and Russian.
