Things get properly unhinged as we try follow Richard Rush’s ode to movie magic and despicable director manipulation in 1980’s cult hit The Stunt Man. Peter O’Toole goes all in on the sleazy director role he plays and has a blast miming the modern-day kind of devil who manipulates everyone around him in service of his movie. What is reality and what is just part of the film? Ramy, Djibril, Robert and Heiner try to figure it out and go a little mad in the process.
Axel and Heiner discuss film oddities from across the universe in their patentedly unhinged fashion while still being reasonable about it.

Djibril and Heiner are back in studio to discuss another Djibril pick: Coffy (1973), a blaxploitation classic and one of the films that cemented Pam Grier as the genre’s foremost star. We discuss the many peculiarities of a genre created by white men for a black audience as well as the many technical proficiencies director Jack Hill displays in this unique revenge thriller.

Djibril and Heiner are diving deep into an absolute classic: The Third Man by Carol Reed with a star performance by Citizen Kane himself, Orson Welles. We discuss the definition of the Film Noir genre, the beauty and tragedy of Vienna in its post-WWII chaotic state and, of course, the iconic score by Anton Karas.
