Workshop ‘What is free radio and how can I get involved?’

On Thursday 17 October from 13:00 to 16:30 we will hold a workshop at Paul-Gruner-Straße 62 (Zentrum-Süd) as part of the Critical Introductory Weeks. We’ll talk about what community radio means and how you can take part. How do I plan an interview, an audio survey or a podcast discussion without much effort? Why is it politically relevant, even if I’m reporting on non-political topics? In this short workshop you will learn the answers to these questions and get to know the studios of Radio Blau. And we will make our first recordings for a radio programme. We can translate to English, Russian and Ukrainian in this workshop, if you need other languages, please let us know. The room is accessible for most wheelchairs and there is an accessible toilet. If you have any other needs, please let us know in advance. Register at kurse@radioblau.de

“Direktsignal” for migrant FLINTA*

We are delighted that we will be able to run the “Direktsignal” project until at least the end of this year. As coordinators, Sinah, Noor and Maia will be offering empowerment programs for migrant FLINTA* people in particular. There will be multilingual workshops, editorial meetings and broadcasts open to all interested women, lesbians, intersex, trans and agender people. Because much more important than discussing migrants is letting them speak for themselves and listening to what they have to say. The project team is also intercultural and multilingual: Maia comes from Argentina and speaks Spanish and English, Noor from Syria speaks Arabic and German, Sinah from Germany speaks German and English. So keep your eyes open for the offers or write to anja@radioblau.de. (more…)

Last weekend we met for a future workshop. We thought about what is not yet perfect at Radio Blau and dreamed about what our favorite station could look like in 10 or 2000 years. In the end, we came up with lots of ideas for the next year. Now it’s time to write proposals and keep working on the implementation. We would like to thank Halle 14 for allowing us to use their inspiring space!
