Every Thursday at 3 pm, our “Aktuell” editorial team meets over soup and coffee to plan the current programmes and news for the coming week. Not only are volunteer positions assigned here, but topic ideas are also discussed. So if you’re looking to connect with others to present your first programme, or for topics to report on and tips on how to do it, you can simply drop by and get to know exciting people along the way! We speak German, English, Spanish, Russian and Ukranian.

News from our “Echo” team

Our multilingual radio team will now be called “Echo Leipzig”. Radio enthusiasts have become radio producers and are working on various programmes. For example, about a fairy tale from Myanmar, about the Syrian dish “Mujaddera” and the women’s café in the Dresdner59, and about the topic of “housing”, for which the Kontaktstelle Wohnen gave us an interview. If you are interested in participating in “Echo Leipzig”, please write to interkultur@radioblau.de or come to one of our meetings. You can find the dates here. All languages are welcome, so far, we can communicate in German, English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Ukranian. (more…)

New notification feature for your favorite shows

Radio Blau has developed a new feature with which you can now get notified when your favorite programs are being broadcasted. As a community radio station with its many different and sometimes irregular shows, these reminders ensure that you never miss a program that is close to your heart. At www.radioblau.de/en/reminder you can subscribe to up to 10 programs, which will then be displayed in your digital calendar, every time when they are on air. If you want to subscribe to more than 10 shows, simply repeat the process with the shows that you didn’t have in the first package. We would like to thank our web admin Jakob Wierzba for the innovative development, the Saxon State Media Authority for Private Broadcasting and New Media for the funding, which is co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament.
