#1074: What became of the Library of Alexandria? It seems to have fallen victim to the flames. Just like our beautiful jingle. Only remnants of it remain, because we allowed ourselves to play with fire in this programme. We were amazed at how many levels there are links between the element of fire and radio! It starts with the German word “Funkfeuer” (radio beacon) and ends with Telefunken and lightning. We enjoy the convivial warmth of the campfire and marvel at electromagnetic inventiveness.
